FAQ
Backdrop Information
What are your backdrops made from?
Our backdrops are printed on smooth vinyl with a matte finish that’s water resistant and easy to clean. We use water-based Latex Ink that’s GREENGUARD Gold Certified — low in fumes and eco-friendly.
Where are the backdrops made?
All of our backdrops are made in Canada. We design, print, and package every backdrop in-house at our Vancouver studio
All designs are original and protected by copyright. You’re welcome to use them in personal or commercial photography, but reproduction or resale of the designs themselves isn’t permitted.
What sizes do your backdrops come in?
We offer two sizes:
Standard (24 × 36 inches / 60 × 90 cm) and Large (36 × 48 inches / 90 × 120 cm).
The standard size is a crop of the larger size - the artwork is not scaled, and remain a true 1:1 representation
How should I clean my backdrops?
Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth to remove any spills or residue. Avoid harsh chemicals, and let your backdrop dry completely before rolling it up for storage.
For more tips on cleaning and storing your backdrop, check out our care guide.
Can my backdrop get wet?
Our backdrops are water-resistant and built for creative play. It’s safe to spill food, use beauty products, or add water effects with a splash tray or spray bottle. Just wipe clean and let dry completely before storing.
Will there be glare or reflections in my photos?
Our vinyl has a matte finish, so you’ll see minimal glare — even under artificial lighting. However, like any smooth surface, it may reflect a bit of light.
Darker colours tend to reflect a little more, so they work best with soft, indirect lighting or bounced light.
How should I store my backdrop?
Your backdrop will arrive rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube. After each shoot, wipe it clean, allow it to dry, and roll it back into the tube to keep it protected and crease-free.
Is your packaging recyclable?
The cardboard tubes, tape, and tissue paper are fully recyclable. For the plastic end caps, recycling rules vary by region, so it’s best to check your local guidelines to see if they’re accepted.
